Best Mongolian BBQ in Orange County. My requirements for MongoQ are simple: they need to have fresh quality ingredients, you need to be able to create your own, and it needs to be all you can eat.The service here is satisfactory for a joint like this. They check on you a couple times and drop off the bill without you asking. I have had to flag them down once for a water refill. So Panda has a regular AYCE BBQ line for the grill and then also an appetizer/dessert/soup area, both included in the $13 price (dinner). The appetizer area is where you can get your pocket bread (the only waiting service is for your drinks). The BBQ line has rice and 4 types of noodles at the beginning & 1 at the end. You have chicken/lamb/beef/pork/turkey for your meats. Vegetables are mushrooms, celery, cilantro, tomato, red & green bell pepper, pineapple, cabbage, tofu, sprouts, daikon I believe and a few I’m leaving out. About 10 different sauces with recommended recipes (which I feel always lack flavor) or you can make your own (I load up on spicy, curry, dragon oil, ginger, garlic). Curry powder, red pepper powder, and pepper are at the end. When you are done loading up, the queue for the BBQ is a bit odd. I’ve seen people lining up on both the far side & near. Just ask others in line if you aren’t sure. The cooks make 2 at a time and about 2/3rds of the way through will add a small amount of a water/soy sauce combo to your creation, so if you don’t want that then tell them ahead of time. Sesame seeds are at the end of the BBQ waiting bar. We’ve been here on both Friday and Saturday night’s. Friday’s seem busier than Saturday’s, usually it’ll be about 8 in the BBQ line during dinner and on Saturday’s it’s 2-4. You also don’t smell *as much* leaving this place as you do other BBQ’s, ventilation seems a bit better or perhaps it’s the higher ceilings.I’ve frequented Pan Asia off 17th in CM, Genghis Khan’s in FV & LF, Big Grill in MV and Panda beats them all.
