Rocky’s Crown Pub is located in the Pacific Beach community of Crown Point, one of the most beautiful communities in San Diego. The restaurant itself sits on the corner of Ingraham & La Playa Ave. and has been a staple in San Diego for years.Now Rocky’s, like In-N-Out, does it right! They offer a short, simple menu with a product they have mastered. The menu consists of French fries and two sizes of burgers: half pound or third pound burgers served with or without cheese. That’s it. Rocky’s takes pride in building you a fresh and juicy burger, every time! Nothing fancy, just delicious. The burgers are shaped, weighed and made fresh daily, then flat-grilled on a sesame-seed bun. Mayo, tomato, red leaf lettuce, red onion and pickles are served on the side.My recommendation is to order a third-pounder with fries or, for a grown man, a half-pounder without. Wash it down with one of their large selection of craftbeers, such as my favorites, Blue Moon and Racer 5. You’ll feel like you’re on vacation. And maybe you are!Many, including myself, consider Rocky’s hamburgers to be the best in town. Being from Texas originally, I love BBQ and burgers, and I don’t believe you’ll find a better burger in San Diego! Now, before you start getting too upset, there are other burgers equally as good, in different ways. Let’s just say you should try Rocky’s burgers out for yourself and you’ll see what I mean.
Good Burger. I wouldn’t go as far as to say this is one of San Diego’s best burgers as many have done, but it is a quality burger in a pub with really great atmosphere. The bartender was very nice and the place has a cool feel to it. Definitely would recommend checking this place out. I got the Lunch special which was a 1/3 cheeseburger with fries and a beer for $10.25.
Very cheap, only menu item is burgers and fries. Burgers a little too greasy for my preferance. Beers and wines. Cash only!

Good Eats. Visited from the East and my bro who lived in PB recommended I try a Rocky’s Burger….Went and will absolutely go back…good food, good and friendly staff and good drink! Good alternative to Hodad’s – as Ocean Beach reminded me of the last DEAD show I attended back in ’92. Unless of course you want to meet Jerry reincarnated! LOL
Hard to get a table but worth the wait for a no frills burger. Hold the soggy fries though.
Best ever? No. But a great homestyle burger in an inviting beach neighborhood bar. Thick raw onion and tomato. Fresh lettuce. Sesame seed bun gets soggy early but still delicious. Fries are decent but fresh cut home made would put this place over the top.
