Cantina style old school Mexican restaurant. The service was attentive and swift. The ambiance and decor were dark and comfortable except for a bit too warm inside. The faire was decent and the location had a certain airy charm about it. The drinks, however were quite overpriced for the presentation, taste and alcohol content.
This is the best Mexican food in La Jolla. just a few blocks from Windnsea beach. Watch the sunset and come for huge tasty cocktails and the freshest Mexican food. My favorite is to split the taco sampler plater. Seasoned to a tender perfection with shrimp, chicken, beef and fish along with all the fixings. The dcor is a cozy mix is nautical and Mexican with fishtanks and fireplaces…. always a good experience…. youtube.com

Great nachos. Enjoyed a bohemia and nachos here. The vibe is relaxed and the beach is nearby: a pretty good combination. Prices are reasonable considering this is La Jolla.
