Meh. Nothing great here, and it’s way overpriced. I’ve only eaten here once, so it might be worth at least one more try. I’m from San Diego, so I’m acquainted with all kinds of Mexican food. I’m just saying, there must be a Roberto’s or Santana’s around somewhere. Save yourself a whole wad of cash.
Very nice patio seating area. Enchiladas were very good.
Ensalada Del Sol. Salad with chicen, avacado, feta, egg, bacon, fiesta strips.

I went to Blue Coyote yesterday after the pride parade with my brother and his friend. The patio is a nice place to relax but, this is my third time here and my third time being disappointed. I have tried different items and was disappointed each time. Which if the service would have been better any of the times I might not have written this. But today was the worst! First they bring us a large guacamole when we asked for a small then when we told them they got mad at us, the server then brings us a margarita we never ordered and while bringing that spills a can a beer down my side of into the seat of my chair… he didn’t apologize and sends someone over with a towel who instead of asking if I needed it wipes off the table… really??? We finally get our good ands only 1 out of tthree orders were correct. Then again I get the attitude from the server then he returns and says it was the kitchens fault. Yet the expo was reading what was on the ticket hmmmm. Just not a great experience! After all that not even a thank you for coming in and letting me spil things on you and mess up your order! Didn’t ruin my day but did ruin my taste for this restaurant. P.S. to top it off the rice tasted old and the shredded beef had no flavor :/
Gluten-Free? Avoid. 4/15/2013 When I asked about the chips to find out if they were fried in the same oil as items containing gluten, not only was I told the chips were not gluten free, but they had had a meeting recently and they were not gluten-free friendly. The waitress suggested vegetables to which I replied that I’m not a vegetarian, I just can’t eat gluten. As we had already ordered drinks, I asked about a salmon dish. Our waitress said the sauce would contain gluten, but it could be left off. It was served with steamed veggies. The salmon tasted past its serving date.Now I haven’t complained to wait staff about a meal in many years. The waitress said the meal would be taken off our check and asked if I wanted something else. I said no, but I would eat the steamed veggies, which I did. Not only did the manager not make an appearance at the table, but we were charged for the veggies as a side dish. Yes I did eat them, but I also ate some salmon which shouldn’t have been served and could possibly make me sick! We liked this place a year ago when we were last in PS, but will never go back again.Take this place off your list of places to go!
