Good food. Definitely tasty. But it is annoying when the guy taking the order looks at you funny (actually he is a jerk about it) if you dont tip or tip enough. Its a self service restaurant with lawn chairs and inexpensive tables. Its not fine dining.

Casual and good. This place is great to go with friends. Its inexpensive, good quality fish, outdoor dining. Has a incredible oyster bar in the back. Sometimes there’s music. Its great for lunch or dinner.

Mom’s Birthday at Fisherman’s Market & Grill.. I took Mom to Fisherman’s Market & Grill for her Birthday, both of us enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I heard about Fisherman’s Grill from a friend in town and look forward to returning again. The food was fresh and cooked properly. I had the Fisherman’s Boat (Broiled Seafood Platter) and Mom the Halibut. The price was reasonable, $15 a piece which included entree, side, salad. desert and a choice of beer or wine. Mom’s Birthday was on September 9, so the heat was still on in Palm Springs. We dined alfresco in between the order line/kitchen and in door dining area. It was nice with overhead lattice covered with white material to shade the sun, plus the mist sprayer made it very pleasant to eat outside. The waitress also brought a a slice of cheesecake with a lit candle for Mom ( a sweet touch).

NOT Shanghai Red’s. Attached to Shanghai Red’s is this walk through counter style Fish & Chips joint. The attitude of the order taker almost made me leave, but we were hungry. Apathetic, overweight Hispanic girl, could not care less, or offer any courtesy to the people who keep her employed. That said, the food, fish & chips, and fish tacos, were pretty good.Food…………BService……..DAmbience…C-Value…………C

Terrible place. Food is fried. Host is a nasty A-hole. Fast food at a higher price!
