I am so glad that california has got this restaurant where I was delighted with the indian food I had almost after 2 months. I was so happy to see the food it looked perfect and the portion they served was tremendously satisfying also the restaurant isn’t overpriced at all. The best part is the food isn’t restaurant heavy it actually tastes as if it has directly come from the house kitchen with all the flavour but you still won’t feel heavy. The best greeting were given with chutney and sour onion with papad which was complementary. They play shabad and they have these Punjabi folks dancing in the posters they have put on the walls, they have got flower shaped fans which is very interesting and also they have a bar! I have had the best time here, it was a pleasure dining in monsoon.
Great Food and freindly Service. Very good Indian food. Little hole in the wall place, nothing fancy but great food. I make it a point to go there at least one a week even though I live in La Quinta, Its worth the drive.
Excellent food…excellent value!. I stumbled across this gem while passing through Palm Springs, CA. I had the lunch buffet…the food was excellent! I definately recommend this establishment.
Fast, efficient service and great food. This is our third visit to Monsoon and we have enjoyed each meal. My wife had a Chicken Biryani with a Masala Tea. I had Chicken Tikka Masala and a Kingfisher beer. I asked for my curry to be a 7 out of 10 on the spicy side. Both were served with a regular rice and the Naan bread was extra. The meals arrived within a short amount of time and both the server and the manager were very helpful. The restaurant is small with about 8 or 9 tables. I highly recommend this place.13 Jan, 2013Get There Early…. I suggest you get to the Monsoon by 5:00 PM. Especially on weekends, as it fills up fast, and they do not take reservations. Two of us shared: Vegetable. Pakora and Samosa. Chicken curry and Chicken Tika Masala with Garlic and onion Kucha bread. All washed down with a Bud Lite and Taj Mahal beers. Next time we will share only one starter and one choice of Indian bread.
