A beautiful Mediterranean restaurant with plenty of great options. I went for the Turkish coffee and Hummus with fava beans and brown bread. The food is tempting but very filling especially Hummus. Located on university avenue, this place is my first choice for Mediterranean food. Always crowded, so you may have to wait up to 30 minutes. They also have takeaway in case you do not want to wait for a table. I would recommend their pita sandwiches as I have not seen them in other places.
What a brilliant place to go when you are on University Ave. The Rice Bowl, The Hummus and the Pita Sandwiches are all excellent. Can get really crowded and the wait times may go up to about 45 mins based on how big a table you want. To finish off an excellent meal here you could binge on some chocolate mousse. They also serve some interesting flavored teas that are very soothing. All in all a great place for really good food thats always accompanied with the heavenly red sauce.
This place is where u take ur Intellectual Date to. The place is right in centre of Palo Alto and food is for the soul . Its Fresh ,right quantity and always buzy . The ambiance is casual . Its a must try place if ur around Bay area or SFO . highly recommended for Mediterranean Food Lovers. And dont forget to Scribble on the Brown paper on ur table.
Second best hummus outside Israel, delicious soft white pita breads, best sweet potato fries I ever had. You cant go wrong with the chicken skewers – they are cooked to the perfect taste and texture, amazing!
I’ve been craving Oren’s ever since I last visited! We went for dinner and although it was very busy, we luckily didn’t have to wait long. The staff is really friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic. I ordered the beef kebabs, hummus and sweet potato fries. The portions are massive so it’s enough to share the hummus and fries. The food was freshly prepared with great quality ingredients. I wish I hadn’t eaten lunch so I would have had more space for all the delicious options. The sweet potato fries are my favorite.
Hummus overload!. I went to Oren’s for lunch with a friend while in Palo Alto on business. Although there are several Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in Palo Alto, this was the only one with a line to get in. We soon learned why – Oren’s serves up fresh Middle Eastern fare that is delicious, filling, and inexpensive! We ordered the hummus with fava, the sampler platter, and a side of Israeli pickles and olives. It was worth the carb overload! The staff was also friendly, efficient, and helpful. I definitely recommend.
