11yr Anniversary #2 Was able to make reservations here for soft opening night for the 2nd restaurant for our anniversary. It’s so much different from how Trader Vic’s looked. Open feel to it as you enter the restaurant. I like it already. Mr. Tucker was our waiter and took very good care of us. Being it opening night he did a great job along with another waiter who was helping him out. I think his name was Spencer? Who toured us around the new restaurant and kitchen. After dinner the Chef came to our table, which was a nice treat. Anyway on to the important part. The food. First thing that caught my eye was the famous hamachi shots from Alexander’s Steakhouse. Yes! They have them here too. Makes sense right? Since it is the The Sea. It was an automatic choice. They plan to have a tasting menu which is not yet available. Will be waiting for that for sure. We had so much appetizer and bread (couldn’t stop eating the croissant topped with furikaki and the olive bread) By the time dessert came I was already stuffed. Here is the list. -Tuna Tataki – Seared just right and really good. – Clam chowder was really good. This was finished table side. Though it was a bit different it still had a comforting good feeling. – Seared Mero- Poached Halibut was flavorful and light. – Red Velvet Cake never had it like this before. So good.
