Fantastic!. We were a party of 8 having dinner last Friday night and it was a fantastic experience. Each couple chose to split four courses which they accomodated beautifully. All in our groups raved over every course. The service is cheerful and professional. My favorites were the pumpkin gnocchi , beef cheeks ravioli and asparagi milanes con burrata. Really, though, every plate was beautifully prepared. A local and very versatile wine list made the experience complete. We actually made a point of visiting Bella Luna winery after having one of this vitner’s selections there.
A good food pairing with Paso Robles. A few years ago, on one of my trips up to Paso Robles, my plan was to have dinner at Artisan. Unfortunately they were completely full up. So I ended up trying this relatively new Italian restaurant called Il Cortile. Man was I impressed. It was some of the best Italian food I’d had outside of Italy. Their Mozzarella and Burrata was amazing. I’ve been there twice more since then. The last time was for a friend’s Birthday. That dinner goes down as one of the best meals for any of us. We started with two appetizers, their calamari and their scallops. The calamari was cooked perfectly with a tomato basil sauce that meshed perfectly with the meat. We also had prosciutto wrapped scallops which were also spectacular. We had brought two of bottles of wine with us for dinner, though we ended up ordering a bottle of Prosecco to go with the appetizers which paired well with them. We couldn’t decide what to order so we ordered four entrees for the three of us: Beef Cheeks Ravioli, Wild Boar Pappardelle, Pork Osso Buco and a Dual seasoned Porterhouse steak special. All of them, once again, exceeded our expectations. The cool thing about the steak was that each cut on the Porterhouse (tenderloin and strip) were seasoning completely different and had their own separate sauces. For dessert we shared the Tiramisu and Creme Brle. All in all, one of the best dinners I’ve had.
It is hit and miss. Don’t order the squid pasta.. Nasty, kinda pricey for the quality
Amazing!!!! Chef Santos is a god!. One of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Paso Robles is the perfect setting for such an amazing Italian masterpiece of fine dining. Can’t wait until we meet again!
