Liked it, but mostly ’cause of the service. The nice young Asian guy behind the counter probably gave us the best customer service we’ve had in a long time. Talked to us like we were regulars (first time in the place), gave honest opinions of all the food, let us taste test the soups to decide which we wanted – just overall very friendly and genuine. Seems like a very neighborhood hang out place, like not the tourists to Paso, but the people that actually live there. We got take out, so can’t really comment on the experience of sitting down to a meal here, but the atmosphere seemed …ah…funky? Dark blue carpet, mis-matched tables/chairs, kinda dark. Food was good, not spectacular. Had olive pasta dish and the lamb burger.
Good food. I was not very sure at first, but I was suprised. I went there with 3 other people and we all got something different and shared. Everything was great. And wonderful lemon bars.
Simple. Find a table. Take a menu. Order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Super friendly staff. Nothing fancy – burgers, sandwiches, gyros, soups, salads, pasta and steaks. All of it tasty and well prepared. Popular with locals – one big family celebrating a birthday. But the best thing is a big choice of Central Coast wines by the glass or bottle and all fairly priced.A good place to stop, about half way, if you are traveling on the 101 between LA and the Bay Area. Eclectic place with comfy chairs and booths along with outside tables in front and a hideaway patio in back. Local artwork on the walls including photos that are spectacular. Wines are all local, but you have heard about and possibly tasted all of them. A laid back but friendly and efficient staff. Soft rock and gentle covers of hard rock classics on the speakers. Food choices are diverse as the name suggests, but the cooking style is definitely home style with just a twist that surprises you. A great place for the road-weary to unwind a bit before moving on.
Eeeh. Nice concept, but nothing that defines the place as to what it is. Kinda bland and missing something, fits in well with the people of the area.
