Not Just an Historic Inn. For breakfast on our last day in the Paso wine country, we went to the diner/coffee shop attached to our hotel. It was pretty much deserted, course this was a weekday morning. We bellied up to the counter and ordered our meal. The menu included a lot of traditional favorites with some unique items. I ordered a sun dried tomato/linguica sausage/french cheese (I completely forgot what it was now) omelette. The sun dried tomatoes were chopped up well, so you got bits of them instead of whole chunks. The cheese just came on top and was spreadable. At first I thought it was sour cream but then realized what it was. The sausage was plentiful (almost too much). My husband ordered the blueberry pancakes, which he ate because he was hungry, but disappointed because they weren’t the fresh blueberries the menu claimed.Coffee was decent. Service was okay. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. I might stop by to eat at the coffee shop again if staying at the Inn. But there are better deals nearby for breakfast.
