First time in Paso Robles and walked in 15 minutes before closing and apologized and said we’d be back later but the insisted we come in. We were expecting leftover type quality buy everything was done fresh and from scratch and oh so delicious. Appetizers , main course and desert. All fabulous. So good we made reservations for the next evening.
No Longer Affiliated With the Organic Farm!. As owner and farmer of Thomas Hill Farms, the organic farm that THO originated from and is named after, I need to say that the bistro has not sourced my organic produce for quite some time. The farm is no longer affiliated with the bistro in any way because they have chosen to go in a totally different direction. We here at the farm wish them all the best as they travel down this different road. I hope this clears up some of the confusion that has arisen.
Wildly Original Food. We tried the black lentil tacos that were made of pureed carrot, cashews, coconut and watermelon and to our surprise they were quite tasty. For dinner I had the Bengali Spiced Black Cod and it was served over pickled watermelon with roasted beets and strawberries and it was also very good. Service was slow in the beginning because my server got many tables at one time but after the beginning it was fine.
Amazing food, Horrible service. Hard to rate this one….great menu…food was top notch..loved the summer fruit salad, chicken confit siracha wings…waiter took order and 10 minutes later was told that entrees were not available…ordered burgers…they were good. Asked for a wine list to go with burger…waiter stopped after meal and mentioned that he forgot the wine list…the place was not that busy. Slow, slow and basically incompetent service…so sad as the food once it arrives is quite good. I am hoping the owner and chef see this review.
Always a surprise – always delightful. We are lucky locals who choose to eat here often because the food is consistently delicious and the service is spot on! Chef Julie creates combinations that I never in a million years would think of and we are have never been disappointed. For a small town, we are blessed with many great restaurants but this MY favorite!
Wonderful, healthy and Fun. Amazing what Debbie, Juli and staff can create from organic ingredients
Favorite, Hands Down. Love this place. We are lunch/brunch goers here and have never been disappointed. Welcoming, friendly service and delicious food. I just love getting my own little French Press of delicious JoBella coffee. Appetizers are fabulous. The Ahi Tuna Tataki is my personal favorite. The whipped lemon yogurt in the summer and roasted cauliflower dip in cooler weather are so satisfying; served with warm, soft pita bread. If you’re hungry you can’t go wrong with the pork belly sandwich. For lighter meal, we’ll split an appetizer and each order a salad dish. The gifted chefs subtly incorporate amazing flavors into their dishes with farm fresh fruits and veggies, grains, herbs and spices that make us want to lick our plates clean everytime.
