Best breakfast In town, great baked.goods. from their own jam, to homemade wheat toast the size of a babies head, amazing quiche, waffles, French toast and health options on most items. Help yourself.to coffee and take a seat in grandmas kitchen. Fast great wait staff, this is a busy place get here early on weekends or wait a while. Outside seating means people watching and during the summer months your right next to the farmers market. The place to have mimosa with the girls, or bring your guests for a great breakfat.
Not a good experience but not bad either.. Flew to Placerville for lunch on February 16 and decided to try Sweetie Pies. It had an old country grandma house style dcor and our waitress was very nice but we found it to be a place if youre not in a hurry. The waitress said the kitchen was running way behind because they were overrun with customers prior to our arrival but that just tells me the restaurant owners and staff is unprepared for a good problem every restaurant wishes they had from opening to closing. My wife and I ordered the Chicken enchilada casserole but it seemed to have been microwaved because the sides were extremely hot and the center barely warm. The dish was a little insipid and I would not order it again. However, I would give the place another shot and try the restaurant again but the next time I will ask the waitress for a popular dish she recommends or their signature dish if they have one. I always give restaurants a second chance unless they are really bad and this is not the case at Sweetie Pies.
Wonderful everything!. We traveled to Placerville from Iowa for a wedding. We were in Placerville just three days and made this our breakfast place two of those days. (We just didn’t have time to stop before we caught our flight.) This place uses the freshest ingredients, gives generous portions and has friendly wait staff. Everyone in our party (71yo to 4yo) enjoyed all the food items. You MUST try Olallieberry jam or pancakes or both!
Great Food. Best breakfast and lunch place in El Dorado County! Eggs benedict is awsome for breakfast. Always nice people there to help you. Very clean.
The atmosphere is what makes it. Probably the best breakfast place in the area. Get the Olallie berry pancakes!
