Poor service
Nice chips and salsa. Great ambiance. Interesting, non chain Mexican menu. I had the mole and liked it.
Food is so unbelievably bad!. The atmosphere is nice out on the patio, but that is the only positive. Food was bland, cold, tasteless, and just so bad it is shocking. The meat in my taco was unrecognizable. (I ordered a beef taco). Service was slow and unfriendly. This place needs an overhaul.
Margarita heaven, great food. More styles of margaritas than you can imagine. They were voted best Mexican in the Bay Area by the Bay Area Express newspaper, at least once. Very comfortable settings inside and outside this large historic landmark of a mansion. My favorite maitre de no longer works there but the service is still pretty good. Best Mexican I’ve ever had. Great for large parties, friends, family or just two (or 1 at the bar).
I could not wait to get home from my trip to Nor Cal to write this review. I have never been so compelled to write one. The food is awful! Absolutely horrible. The atmosphere is lovely, stunning really but I could not get over how terrible the food was. My parents wanted to take the whole extended family out somewhere nice before my baby bros wedding and I felt just terrible that they paid such a tremendous amount for such little quality. I would never recommend this place. Even the margaritas were overpriced and under quality. Disgusting
Margaritas are the best. I’ve never eaten at Blue Agave, but hands down, the best margarita I’ve ever drank was made there. Not the shaved ice or on the rocks variety, but the traditional drink with premium ingredients. Definitely worth it.
FOR THE PLEASANTON TOURISTS. I have given this place a few chances over the years since they first opened but this place just isn’t good. the only nice thing they have to offer is a nice patio right out front overlooking all of the hustle and bustle on beautiful main street.the food is just very mediocre and expensive and the drinks are over hyped and pricey too. the decor is all over the place and wrong for the style of cuisine they offer. all together for more authentic cuisine you have a much better bet dining out at chevy’s
