Average food. Zucchini is really good. Once I was in there and the boss walked in and grabbed a beer , so unprofessional. I also heard the way he Talked to his employees extremely rude . This Restraunt was not pleasant to be in. He made a sweet waitress cry !
Pretty good.. They do have a pretty impressive menu of burgers and sandwiches. I like the onion rings, a few times the oil needed changing. I’ve always had friendly service. I visit every other month or so.
I was really surprised at the variety of menu items. I had the pastrami on rye. Huge portions and great service – highly recomended. Can’t wait to try the Chicago dog next time with an ice ccld beer! Yummy!
IT WORKS IN A PINCH. As far as deli’s go chicago’s has much more variety to the menu then you might be used to. first of the menu selection is awesome and the prices are insanely low. i had to give 4 stars instead of 5 because of the just so so burgers. well it is a deli so take my advice and try everything else on the menu. i’m not a salad guy but in my opinion they are just ok but i love the chinese chicken salad here because they add cashews to it, yummy!now like i said i could pass on the burgers here but i do have my local faves in nations, bob’s giant burgers and val’s in hayward. heck i even have to admit the whopper from bk is a big guilty pleasure.the sandwiches are all so very creative, have really cool names and are around $6, what else can a guy ask for? ALWAYS ASK FOR EXTRA PESTO MAYO ON EVERYTHING AND YOU WILL THANK ME. here’s an example of my go to items……..chi-dog–classic vienna frank with mustard, onions, tomatoes, pickle spear, sport peppers, relish & celery salt on a poppy seed bun harry caray–smoked turkey & gouda cheese on a sub roll with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sprouts, spicy brown mustard and mayothe jerk–grilled chicken sandwich with jerk seasoning, mayo, jack cheese & tomatoes on a sub rollthe magnificent mile-chicken salad made with cashews, apples, dill & lemon mayo on a sub roll with lettuce and tomatoeschicago’s is so close to my parents when ever i visit so i tend to get to stop in for a great meal quite often. the sides are just ok as i can make an order with sysco or any other food service company and get the same quality. if i’m not driving i can get my favorite beers or wines as well like pyramid ale and a local favorite hoptown ale. if i find i have the room in my big belly i’ll grab a shake to go. banana, pineapple and oreo shakes now that’s what i’m talkin bout.
