Great find. Had roast turkey sandwich on a sour dough roll. Be sure to tell the very friendly staff to include lettuce, roasted red peppers, etc. Side pasta salad was tangy, light on the olive oil, and fresh. Will return again soon.
Quality, made to order. I get a half tuna, half egg salad on Dutch Crunch. Their egg salad is very excellent, it stands on its own, I just really like it with tuna, make sure you get pepperocinis on it too. I’ve always known the sandwich as a Swedish. I’ll couple the sandwich with chips and a creme soda. If your feeling strong, the cookies or brownies on the counter re pretty good too.
A PLEASANTON CLASSIC. This has been a great local favorite of mine since back when i was in high school. in a time when it was so much easier to sneak off campus for lunch you would find me here. these days i try to get back as often as i possibly can. they always have the freshest selection of meats breads and cheese. they have got the best chicken salad i have ever had. the chicken is so tender and they add almonds to the mix to give it the perfect texture and crunch with every bite. they also have a great egg salad, tuna salad and the best liverwurst i have had since i was a kid. yes i said liverwurst. my grandpa really loved liverwurst and he used to make a really good sandwich for me when i was young. i guess i never really knew what it was at the time but i didn’t care. now i’ll get one on occasion and it always makes me think of his.they even have a really good falafel sandwich here as well. i was surprised at how authentic it really was. they have great italian beef, meatballs, brisket and the best varieties of turkey, chicken and ham. and don’t forget about the great sides, sauces and dips to go along with any sandwich you may get. oh they sell wine and great selection i might add.
