Great Food. Have had an early lunch here a couple times now. My recommendations are either the Club Sandwich or the French Dip Sandwich. Both of them are huge…..eat 1/2 and take the other 1/2 home or split with someone. It not just the size though. Both have lots of flavor. The Club has the usual ingredients, but for some reason has lots of flavor. Maybe because they do not skimp. The French Dip has great beef flavor. You could easily eat it with out the Au Jus. Always crowded, great food, prices and portions. The breakfast plates are overwhelming, but I guess the lunch plates are too. Everything is good, never had a bad meal. They have daily specials not on the menu. My fav special is Thursday’s breakfast burritos stuffed with hash browns. Highly recommended place. You may have to wait, but well worth it.

Consistently excellent. I’ve been ordering an omelette to-go a couple times a month for a few years. Consistently accurate and tasty food served with a smile.I was a bit late for a pickup once… they insisted that they make me fresh food… Now that’s service!

Always good. Jim’s is always great place for breakfast or lunch. Good food. Good friendly service. Lots of locals and repeat regulars. Staff and customers are good people who are down to earth and friendly.

BEST BREAKFAST IN PLEASANTON. For my dad’s birthday we did the father-son thing and picked jim’s for our breakfast spot. once again it was another busy sunday but we were seated immediately as we walked in. we had a big birthday dinner planned so i was thinking something light. i decided to pass on breakfast and go with a sandwich. the mark melt looked really good so i decided to order that. well forget about eating light! this sandwich was a triple decker grilled sourdough stuffed with roast beef, turkey, green chili, tomatoes, american, jack and swiss cheese. what was i thinking? this was definitely not anything light or healthy for sure. my dad went with sausage and eggs, so boring i know! the young girl pouring coffee and bussing tables in our section was very attentive and friendly as where our server was pretty slow and forgetful with things we had asked for. they offer extra if you need it for coffee but you may need to get up yourself and get it if you get a busy server. at the table to our left i noticed a huge sharp object hanging on the wall for decoration and it looks like an accident just waiting to happen. you won’t ever find me sitting at that table.our food arrived and right away i knew i wasn’t going to finish my plate. the sandwich was huge and the amount of fries they served me was insane. seriously jim if you cut back on the portions you would still be doing everything right and making more money. they always go crazy with the portions so always come hungry. it seems much hasn’t changed since jim left doug’s in castro valley because they are known for huge portions as well. my sandwich was amazing of course and was like a grilled cheese with huge stacks of roast beef and turkey. the tomato complimented it so well and the green chili gave it the right amount of kick. my dad was pleased with his breakfast but it is hard to go wrong with sausage and eggs. another fantastic meal at jim’s for sure.
