Not a fan. I’ve been there several times many years ago because some people talked about it as a great place. Each time, the service was slow and the food was not very good at all. So I haven’t been back. Places like Zorn’s and Jim’s are consistently great, so why go to a place like Vic’s that is mediocre or worse?
Awesome!. Vic’s is everything a local, family diner should be. Friendly staff, good food at affordable prices, and a comfortable atmosphere. It’s also fun to look at all the local sports teams’ memorabilia on the walls. Moreover, Vic and his restaurant are tireless supporters of the local schools. I’ve taken numerous out-of-town friends to Vic’s when they visit and they’re still talking about how much they enjoyed the visit. Stop by–you won’t be disappointed!
Just Like Home. I don’t get to visit Vic’s nearly as often as I’d like to, but if I had time, I’d eat there at least once per day! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very cozy. I often recommend Vic’s to friends and family when I know that they will be in the downtown Pleasanton area, and so far everyone has praised my recommendation! Keep up the great work…I’ll be back soon 🙂
The cook will not do it your way. Why do I say that? I asked for well done, crispy, brown potatoes and they came out slightly tan. Our server who was a nice kid but never should have served it to me told me the chef said he didn’t have time for it and wouldn’t do them well done. The Mgr. came to the table I had her take the plate back cause I wasn’t going to eat it or pay for it. Won’t be back.
