Fun food place. Stylish, yet comfortable. Good place for biz dinner or just the two of you. Jim behind the bar knows his wine. Good bottle prices and selection is adequate.31 Dec, 2008Great wine, good food, fun place. We’ve been going to TBR for more than a year. It has become our neighborhood place as it is relaxed, great staff (Grant, Jim, Heidi, etc), great selection of wines and the food is tasty and generous. Only drawback is it can be a bit loud when full of people. Could use a wood fired pizza oven to complete the picture…
Amazing!. The Barrel Room is simply amazing! It’s a quite, bubbling spot in Rancho Bernardo with great food selections and excellent wine. I eat here at least twice a month. The petite lambchops are incredible and I’m a fan of their garlic fries also. The french onion soup isn’t too shabby either. Nothing there is!
Great local restaurant. Wonderful wine, waiters, dinner – have to get there early to secure a table if coming with guests – small local restaurant, but wonderful atmosphere – had split pea soup and the special blue steak which had blue cheese, onion straws and a great size steak cooked to order -had a wonderful dinner with friends –
Barrel Me Over. The Barrel Room seems to have a limited meu, but once I found the Capellini I have not had anything else on the menu. Comfy, nice atmosphere.
Good. Great neighborhood place. Cozy, fun, good wine selection. Menu is a little limited, though.
My family enjoyed the food and beer and wine list. The panninis are great fun allowing everyone to make a terrific sandwich from many coices of meats, cheeses, toppings and breads.
