What is going on the kitchen?. I think the food is good -standard Chinese food. The service is fast. But they are rigid about their lunch menu. There are absolutely no substitutions. I asked to substitute vegetable fried rice for pork fried rice and they said no. I told them I don’t eat pork but would prefer fried rice to steamed rice. They offered to sell me a side order of vegetable fried rice but I would have to pay extra. What? That makes zero sense. If it isn’t the trouble of making it then why can’t they slap it on the plate and go on with their lives. Plus, my friend ordered wonton soup and didn’t really care for it. She didn’t complain. She was going to pay for it. She just didn’t eat it. The server asked her if she wanted a to go bowl for the soup and when she declined the server acted like if she took it back to the kitchen they were going to throw it on her. She asked don’t you have someone at home who will eat it or can’t you take it back to work with you and see if anyone wants it. She packed it up for us even though we said no. We left it on the table. No means no.

Overall, I thought this place was a good spot for lunch. It is in an old strip mall so it was a debatable whether to even go inside, but what I found was a well decorated place. It was surprising how big the place was inside since it looks small from the outside. The service was good and fast. The food was good and I was very happy to find a place that does not deep fry their General Chicken. The lunch came with soup and an eggroll for $5.50; pretty standard for Chinese. I’d recommend this place to others.
