My wife and i went there last night for the first time. Best steak and service weve ever had. The servers were friendly and professional. My wife almost cried because the steak was so good. A first for me. And the pork belly and grits dish was superb. It just has to be tried to eappreciate.

Lets Celebrate!. For my birthday, we went to Fleming’s. We had such a wonderful time plus a great meal. My husband had the prix fixe menu which consisted of Chili Prawns as a starter and Filet Mignon and Salmon for the main course. The prawns were huge! The chili sauce was spicy but not too spicy. Perfect. The Filet Mignon was juicy and tender. The Salmon was pecan crusted on top, which my husband did not enjoy. Otherwise the salmon was flaky and delicious. We shared some their scrumptious flaky, savory crab-cakes. A must try! We added the creamy garlic mashed potatoes that had just a hint of garlic. We loved them! I had the pecan-crusted Sea Bass with Wilted Spinach. If you like fish, you will love this sea bass. Flaky and moist and seasoned perfectly. The sauce it came with was buttery and yummy. I am not a spinach person but I loved the wilted spinach. I don’t know what they do to it but it got me to eat my veggies! We recommend Fleming’s if you have a special occasion to celebrate. The host/hostess, the servers, assistant servers, etc.. make you feel appreciated and happy you are there. Michelle was our server and was great. Very attentive and helpful.

What changed? –See Update. I’ve been a loyal customer of Flemings since this restaurant opened. The food and service was always great. When I’d call, their system would even recognize my phone number, making reservations quick and accurate. Sadly in the past few months, my opinion on this restaurant has changed. I have had MANY issues, some serious, some petty, here they are in no particular order: 1 They no longer recognize the person’s phone number that’s calling, that has led to difficulties making reservations, and one in-correct reservation. 2. they’ve made changes to their menu, that have changed some of our favorites, that aren’t as good as the originals, namely the Wedge, Lava Cake, and Clear Cosmo. 3. During our reserved visit on Feb 16, we were sat at a rickety (covered) cocktail table, in the corner of their back room, not an actual table, we didn’t complain because we could see the restaurant was full, but the waiter noticed, and laughed that the table was not stable. 4. We were there last night, and saw the most serious changes. We waited over 20 minutes for our first drinks to be delivered, and when the waiter’s helper introduced herself, we didn’t see her again until after our meals had arrived. The restaurant was not full, but the service was poor and slow. One of our guests ordered Swordfish, which he had ordered two weeks prior, and it was excellent. Last night, it had a dark streak through it, was overcooked and very fishy. We had it sent back, and this time, it looked better, was properly cooked, but still very fishy, not fresh tasting. The manager came by and asked how it was, we didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes for another meal to be made and to be fair to her, we said it was fine. In my opinion, they should taste a sample of the food, or the chef should know what he/she is cooking, and know if the fish is fresh or not. I’m not looking forward to going back, as I had in the past…UPDATE after this review, the GM contacted me and offered to make good on what had gone wrong. while I appreciated the gesture, we didn’t feel the impulse to rush back. So finally, about two weeks ago, we went back. Everything was wonderful, I’m glad to see that things had changed for the better. I look forward to going back.

This was my first time going to Flemings and I heard so much hype that I was excited to finally eat there. We went in a large group for a company celebration with about 22 people. The appetizers were very good. Had the steak kabob and the mini quiche. I was looking forward to my Flemings house salad but my disappointment started there. The dried cranberries and candied walnuts were good, the dressing was well balanced but the croutons were horrible. They tasted like 3 day old bread that had no flavor to begin with and was never seasoned. The least they could have used a little seasoning to make them acceptable. The mixed greens were similar to a $3 TGIF salad but they charged extra for the flemings name. When I received my filet mignon it seemed more like a petite than a full cut. When I took my first bit I was not impressed. Not much flavor, a little extra crispy on the outside, pretty dry on the inside. So I figured maybe it might get better as I go along… Nope! Stayed the same the while way thorough. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a $50 steak. The fully loaded baked potato was good but was lacking enough fixings to have every bite a great bite. We ordered the chocolate lava cake for desert which takes 30 minutes to prepare. When we got it, it looked great. When we cut into the cake, we found out that they over cooked it. It was a dense chocolate cake. Only one out of six ordered was done correct. The service was good but the food needs improvement. It lacked the flavor and proper execution that you expect from a great steakhouse. I would suggest going to Ruth Chris or Lawry’s instead or if you want the same quality of food, save the money and go to TGI Fridays. I will not be returning to Flemings anytime in the near future.

Romantic spot, great steaks. I still like Ruth Chris a tad bit more!
