Today I went to try Java Bistro, the newest Indonesian restaurant that is owned by the same owner of Parahiangan restaurant at Hong Kong Plaza. Indonesian restaurant in LA usually famous with one or two items so you can not expect that all of the foods are good.I ordered its Nasi Bungkus (Wrapped Rice) – $10. Basically it’s steam rice with several items which is Rendang (Beef cooked with coconut milk & spicies), Empal Balado (Beef jerky with chillies), Chicken, Telor Balado (Hard boiled egg, then fried & served with chillies) & Veggies. For me, it is pretty pretty good.I did not try the other famous dish which is Mie Singapur (Singaporean Noodle) – $8. It is a spicy noodle and several of my friends said it is good.
