A Gem In Rancho Mirage. Thr Right Bank is a largely undiscovered treasure for Rancho Mirage. The service, the menu, the ambiance are all absolutely first rate. During the off season and on certain slow nights there are 2 for 1 specials which make it a great bargain as well. Call ahead to find out when these occur.As for the menu, its hard to know where to begin. You’ll be served their pate and shrimp mousse as you sit down, followed by some deep fried carrot fritters… all delightful.Suppers come with a choice of soup or salad. They serve a very unusual thick cold raspberry borscht which is well worth a try. The main courses are all marvellous. My personal favorite is the Veal Robere…medallions of veal stuffed with crab and langostine in a tart light Hollandaise like sauce. The accompanying corn souffle and candied carrots are magnificent. If you like lamb you can have it either traditionally served with a mint jelly or barbequed with a marvellously delicate apricot remoulade. The steak Diane is also marvellous. As a matter of fact, you really cant go wrong here with whatever you order!The prices are a bit, but only a bit steep….look for special deals. Try it once and The right Bank is liable to quickly become one of your all time favorite restaurants here in the valley or anywhere
