  Best Burger in Town. We’ve been in Redding for 2 years and kept driving by Damburger and chuckling at the witty name. We finally dropped in for lunch last week and were absolutely delighted with the place. Staff are friendly, service is good and fast, and food was exceptional. It is just a burger, dog, fries place, but they do all those well. Love their take on a burger – thin crisp patties. If you want a lot of meat, add more patties. Fries were hot and crispy and you have to eat them with the house Dam Sauce! Prices are reasonable and the shakes were awesome. We’ve found our burger hangout!

  Not good…. Went here with a friend recently and left disappointed. The burger was not impressive at all. I would rather have a big and nasty from McDonald’s than eat that again. The meat had a frozen/freezer taste to it and so did the fries with were hard and barely lukewarm. My friends burger was the same. The service was terrible and I regret even leaving a tip. They took forever to come take orders and barely came to check on us except when I waved my arm to flag the waitress down. The seating was flimsy plastic picnic tables that were unstable, and there was no ketchup at our table and none was brought so I borrowed some from the table of people sitting near me. I enjoy a good street side burger house and understand a little bit of chaos, but this place just doesn’t cut it for me. I don’t recommend.

  Super yummie. When I worked at the old Pacific Bell — we’d go to Damburger — sometimes sit on those ‘rose garden stairs) they had no front area in those days – and eat our Damburgers and fries — Helen was even working there in those days (yep that was in the mid-late 60’s and I made $60;50 a week – could have b-fast or lunch at the Pacific Bell kitchen for $35 cents — so Damburger was a splurge but they were absolutely yummy — a friend going through to Oregon stopped with her husband and even while ordering their mouths were drooling – now I have to make my own here in South MS and I put red onion chopped up in the meat — yum yum!!

  I use to like this place but between inflation and the staff, I’m over it. Apparently in 1938 when this place opened you could get a damburger, coffee and pie for .25 cents. I’m sure the service was better then too. $5.65 for a Helen burger which wasn’t all the great, $1.00 for a thing of fry sauce…it’s suppose to be .25 cents, but the waitress kept the change…oh and I was pleasantly ignored. So here’s a tip, save your money and go somewhere that actually appreciates your business, like Gene’s drive in. There I got a better burger for less money and way more superior service.

  This place has the best burger! It is very thin with crispy edges. I like the Double Damburger Original meaning lettuce, onions and mustard only but it can be ordered with any type of typical burger toppings. One of the very few true landmarks left serving good ol burgers.

  Redding History. On a bun!! This is a good place, busy as all heck at lunch time – but the food is great (for a hamburger) the staff is a lot of the reason to keep coming back – friendly and good service. The food is good too, they sure give you enough for a very reasonable price.
