Delicious banh mi and cheap!. (09/19/2011) Divey-looking, but great place to pick up a tasty, tasty banh mi. The pate is OK, and the pork roll is standard, but the grilled pork, really delicious; charred, sweet, savory, marinated pork slices. Make sure to get lots of crisp garnishes (sweet-tart julienned carrot and radish, cilantro) and some spicy, sliced fresh jalapenos; the sweet-tart-spicy combo is a great foil to the meaty, fatty, pork. The baguettes are perfect for banh mi, crusty on outside (but not so much so that it shreds your gums) and soft, fluffy on the inside (to soak in the delectable meat juices and rice vinegar. Bonus: place is cheap! Buy two while you’re there!
