The Anchor Fish and Chips on Harding has sold. And, it is the same old story. The previous owners built a reputation on VERY high quality good tasting food. Today was our second visit under the new management. The Shrimp, which used to be prawns, that were lightly battery and deep fried to a golden brown, are now miniature cocktail shrimp that STILL have the black veins in them. They are very heavily patterned and taste like cooking oil. The fish seem on both visits to be thinner than before and no where near as flaky. The Calamari was not chewable. And to top it all off the prices have all gone up. There are no other Fish and Chips fast food restaurants in the local area. We will not be going back. We will miss the original Anchor Fish and Chips. We ate take out from there 3 times a month…..
