Very very poor customer service. We went for a friend’s bday dinner. There was 13 of us . Every couple of weeks we get together for breakfast, brunch, happy hour or dinner. We thought we would try La Provence. Never experienced very poor customer service till we dined at La Provence . Service was very slow. The waitress was rude. Completely ignored my 2 daughters. My 5 years old meal comes with a drink and she never gotten it. The waitress and mostly everyone in that restaurant seriously needed some customer service training . The food wasn’t good either. Very bland. Not worth your money. The place looks nice but it doesn’t outweight the poor service. Oh, and I call 2 days prior to reserve a table for 13. Gave my phone number and credit card number in order to reserve a table per their policy. Never gotten a call back to confirm so I called them myself to confirm. Guess what? My reservation wasn’t in their system …..hhmmmm….. I’m just realizing now that was telling me not to dine there. It ruined everyone’s evening. We will never go back.

Terrible. My wife and I went to La Provence several years ago after they opened their doors and we were very disappointed. Since we live in the area, I wanted to give them another chance and we went there for lunch last wednesday. I am originally from the South of France, from the exact region the restaurant took its name. In Provence, any little cafe or bistrot, on any given day will serve a much better food than the one we got. The Escargots Aixoise (which by the way are nowhere to be found in French cuisine) were insipid, the Steak Frites Maitre d’Hotel was burned (the beurre maitre d’hotel wasn’t even done right),the Coquilles St. Jacques a la Mediterraneene were tasteless too and laying on a bed of greasy shaved brussell sprouts. We ordered a bottle of rose wine which was pretty much at room temperature instead of chilled and I had to open it myself. The Tarte Tatin, my favorite dessert, was spongy and really nasty tasting. My question is…..How can they still be in business?

Love it…great ambience and food. I was just there last Friday with friends and had a great experience. When I first moved here in 2005, this was the first restaurant that I went to, and have enjoyed every visit. including special occasions. I love the Happy Hours….I was shocked to see a horrible review in the paper recently. It is very apparent that they have loads of repeat customers. Please give a try and see if you don’t agree. The food has always been good except a Thanksgiving, with a Prix Fix menu, when I was disappointed.

Great bar…great terrace…good food. This place has turned out to be sort of a regular watering hole for us. As the other reviewers have said, Tony is great at the bar and the happy hour has some great drink/food offerings! We are slowly becoming locals here! The food is generally quite good and we’ve never had any problems with service…my wife has memorized most of the servers’ names…my only wish is that the menu would change up more often or at least start offering daily specials.Only had a few disappointments over the years…not at all bad for the number of times we’ve eaten there.Note…the outside terrace is one of the nicest places (weather permitting) to eat…beautiful view of an oak/grass parkland area…lovely in the Spring!

Tastey for sure, but it takes forever. Not good for weekdays if you want to get back to work in anything resembling a reasonable amount of time. Great if you’re on an open scedule, though!

Wonderful Experience. I went into the meal expecting it to take a while, so no worries there. My wife and I enjoyed our time together, and didn’t feel rushed for a second. Our waitress was perfect, appearing when we needed something, chatting warmly for a minute, and then leaving us to our champagne and conversation. The food was wonderful, my wife and I having two different cuts of steak. The fondue appetizer was amazing, and has made me consider happy hours at the bar in the future. This was our first date since our daughter was born 15 months ago, and La Provence didn’t let us down.

Understaffed/ No smores. We love the ambiance at La Provence, but they always seem understaffed. Also, we recently went there for the offer of the free homemade smores and waited 45 min, for them to start and they never did. Our waitress never even came back to ask us if we wanted another dessert or to tell us what was going on. The website advertised free smores June 4-5, but they did not deliver. Very disappointed.
