Used to love Mimi’s, now I won’t even go here anymore. This place needs to revert back five years or so. I can’t think of one thing that could draw me in there now. On our last visit we were literally ignored waiting to be seated until we got tired of waiting and decided to walk out and they all of a sudden felt like helping us. At this point anything they try to keep this place afloat will be too little too late.

Although the food was slightly above average, I cannot forget staff in which possessed poor communication skills, practiced poor etiquette, and had a surprisingly poor or misguided knowledge of food and customer needs. When we first arrived we were told there was a wait for 15 minutes although the restaurant was at least 70% empty. When we were finally seated two separate waitresses came by our table to serve us. While being served our waitress seemed to have forgotten proper manners and reached acrossed me twice which in any restaurant is a big no no. Also the waitress provided us with excuses for her wrong doings or lack of service instead of simply apologizing. Lastly the atmosphere was nothing to be excited about. With dim lights and elevator music in the background it was hard not to ignore. In conclusion the food was good but not enough to justify the staffs poor service. Please avoid this restaurant.

Everytime I find something on the menu I like, Mimis changes it!. 🙁

Carrot Raisin Bread – YUM!. This Mimi’s Cafe is located on Galleria Blvd. across the Galleria Mall where the cluster of restaurants are: Olive Garden, TGI Friday’s, Buca di Beppo, Red Robin, P.F. Chang’s and BJ’s Restaurant. We came here a couple of times before the new Mimi’s Cafe opened in Lincoln, but I really only like their corned beef hash and eggs breakfast, French onion soup and the bread basket…especially the carrot raisin bread!
