My family and I recently had the worst experience ever at Ninja Sushi. My grandson was burned badly while washing his hands in the restroom. The handle to the faucet was mounted upside down so the cold was really boiling hot. His hand was burned badly. In addition, our party’s food order was not taken correctly. The server Angel was almost non existent and very argumentative. Some of the rolls were soggy and the Bulgogi was all peppers and onion. What a train wreck. Initially I asked for my money back and then reconsidered and just asked for the child’s meal they forgot and my tip to be returned to me. I have had 5 parties at this location; not because the food was amazing but because of the size of the restaurant and the location. The food was acceptable and not bad. I have referred tons of business their way. We are shocked and saddened that this restaurant that was once accommodating and appreciative of customers and feedback is now feeling they are so successful that they don’t need to hear criticism or negative feedback. Below is a email I received from Ninja Sushi. It was poorly written as well as very rude. I have a very large extended family and I have shared this with all of them. We are never supporting this restaurant again.. Here is their email to me! Rude and unprofessional!Hello Pam,We are very sorry for what happened yesterday. We are human and we make mistakes. At Ninja Sushi, we strive to be an elderly as well as child friendly restaurant and to create a family friendly environment. We believe we took the right steps to fixing the problems yesterday night, to ensure a great atmosphere for your party. We are terribly sorry for the birthday boy for getting burned, however, we believe as the child’s guardians it is your duty to watch over your child, we are not a baby sitting service. Steve was sick the last 3 days and was unable to be at the restaurant, however he strongly believes that we are a team and that the service does not depend on whether or not Steve is present. Steve said he has no problem refunding your money, however he asks that you never return to the restaurant with that negative feedback after we apologized. We are sorry for your experience, but we are not sorry about losing a customer who uses their wallet as a means to threaten us.Best,Ninja Sushi & Teriyaki 238 Vernon StreetRoseville, Ca 95678

Probably the best sushi in the area. Good sushi is my very favorite food of all. Over the last 55 years I have enjoyed eating it from Japan to Ireland. Ive had the best. Im VERY picky. This afternoon I visited Ninja Sushi in Roseville. I was not expecting too much since the Sierra foothills are not exactly noted for being a bastion of fine international cuisine. This place was very favorably voted for in a local radio station competition, so I figured that if a few hundred people think its the best in the area, then it actually might be.Its a non-descript storefront in a newer strip mall. Not terribly Japanese looking but clean and tidy. There are a couple of beers on tap including Sapporo. The variety of fish is not extensive, it was fairly easy to identify everything that was on display, there were no rare delights.I was pleasantly surprised that everything I had was quite good. Nothing was the best Ive ever had, but nothing was even slightly disappointing. My favorite is uni and it was very good here today. If it had been sub-par, I may have walked out. I had only nigiri and sashimi since I like fish a lot better than sauce and mayonnaise so I cant comment on the rolls. My wife had a rainbow roll and pronounced it so-so but my daughter also had a rainbow roll and thought it was great. It was a little strange to dine in a sushi bar where at least half of the staff was not of Japanese heritage. The young Japanese/American who asked for our drink order apparently spoke no Japanese. I think that those of Japanese heritage usually better understand the nuances of the sushi experience. When I was served a bowl of rice, the non-Japanese server put the bowl on the wrong side, an insult in Japan. The TVs were annoying. We went on a Wednesday, after the lunch rush, hoping that we would be served quickly. Unfortunately, there was only one person making sushi and we had to wait for about 10 minutes before we could place our first order. Tyler was the sushi chef and he was quite careful and intense but was a little slow and had a little too much to do. I suspect that Japanese/American Steve, the manager/owner was also a sushi chef, but he was too busy being a manager to help. The peripheral wait staff was rather inattentive and unaware, I suspect they may have been new, or maybe just tired after the lunch rush. After I made it clear that I REALLY wanted the empty plates cleared and the drinks refilled, they got a little better.Overall, it was a pleasant experience and worth the 40 mile drive to get here. Ive only tried a couple of other sushi restaurants in the area. One was okay and one sucked. Ninja Sushi came through and will be our go-to place for when we get the craving. I suspect that it is, indeed, the best in the area. Our quest is over. Well be back.
