Not as good as it looks. I’ve been to tokyo shabu shabu about 3 times so far.finally decided to write a review here.They have made quite a bit of change in the past year or so. they use to be very triditional style, just with plain japanese style soup base. but recently they have added a few different verities. a decent selection, but the taste just average for Shabu Shabu. the Decor is decent and clean. Serverice is only average as well. They are not my #1 place for shabu shabu, Average Cost: $15-20 (not including drink)Food Rating: 70cor Rating: 85%Service Rating: 75%
New Fusion Broths are Delicious!. I just got back from a quick lunch at Tokyo Shabu Shabu and the new broths are awesome! This time, I had beef and pork with Spicy Kim-chi and Mushroom Chicken broths. The Kim-chi was bold and tasty and the Chicken broth is was flavorful. The meat goes great with the ponzu and I used the BBQ sauce for the veggie. Service was great as usual. Its seems that this new broths has generate more customers! It was a hot and sunny Monday lunch and this place was pack of customers! Plus I was in the area last weekend, and the place was super full of customers, probably enjoying the new broths like me!Now with almost 10 different broths, I can come back here a few times to try the rest of the combinations! Once again, keep up the good work. I wonder what else they will think of next! BTW, there is a 10% off coupon that you can print out from their website! What a deal! I love great food and awesome promotion! Plus they said that the Reward Card Program is coming back again starting this weekend. One more thing! I noticed that their music videos are now played with an Apple TV! Thats like a big version of an Ipod! They must have upgraded their selections cuz I don’t see or hear the same music videos everytime I eat there. And the ambiance is always awesome here. Everyone should come in a eat here. I know I am always there.
