Between hostess Anna and waiters extraordinaire Gabriel and Russell, all insured we had an extraordinary dining experience.Don’t know how it could have been any better.Just after getting seated our main waiter Russell served a fabulous garlic/black & green olive/pepperoncini tapenade. It was a preface of even better things to come. Each item we ordered surpassed the quality and flavor of the current one.Ellen and I each had a glass of Beaujolais nouveau that was superb: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaujolais_nouveauNext came the Brie Fondue, which was plenty large enough for the four of us to share. Rich and creamy, with a depth of flavor. The salad was fresh & crisp and the French onion soup may have been the best Ellen, Jay, or I have ever tried Heidi’s filet mignon was fork-cutable (one of Dan’s made up words) and a perfect medium rare as ordered.Jay and Ellen each had the coffee-rubbed, blue cheese topped rib eyes that were grand. My veal Marsala was incredible, and like all the steaks ordered, could be cut easily with a fork. It’s kind of a shame NONE of us could eat another bite, so desserts were passed by.We saw the crepes, cherries jubilee, and the chocolate mousse, all looking deliciouso.Service was impeccable, as expected in a fine dining restaurant.Quality and service this good are a rare find in the Inland Empire and a return visit is guaranteed.

Parmesan crusted sole, any of the steak items, salmon, escargot. These are the best things I’ve tried. The steaks are tender and juicy. The fish is so fresh, and definitely cooked lightly. Never overdone. Great dip-able garlic butter on a very tender escargot. Oh yeah, try their chocolate bomb dessert. This is a chocoholics dream dessert.12 Jan, 2011Nice little European dinner restaurant with a devoted local following.. Clearly this charming family-owned restaurant is making a good impression since the new owners took over in October. The ambiance is quaint, the dining experience is relaxed. For those who fear change, everything is the same menu-wise… but I believe a better grade of meat, improved sauces, and yes, a richer onion soup. And am I imagining this? At the same time there seems to be more reasonably priced menu items, especially their specials for the day (Prime rib, rib eye, chicken roulade, and especially the parmesan crusted sole). I am glad they are trying to add new dishes and are bending over backwards to accommodate personal preferences. This is a lovely place, but hard to find. Very worthwhile to seek it out.

Elegant, Delish, Pleased!. Le Rendezvous has new owners. Normally, this could be good or bad, but we left sublimely happy. They have added more menu choices including a new 3-course meal, $25 on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Last Thursday night it was either Chicken Cordon Bleu or a beautifully tender NY steak with a wine peppercorn sauce, and included soup or salad, potatoes, bread, veggies al dente, and dessert (an ice cream parfait). The chef was wonderful and came out to greet us. The service was slow-paced and elegant. Thank you Manny, we can’t wait to see more of your creations. We will be back.
