If you are between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, this place is worth the stop. The food is so fresh and good that it reminds me of the food we had in Greece. Everything is made in house and best of all is family owned. They give you the option of eating in or drive thru and go. They also cater. The restaurant is clean and the staff is very nice. Nick, the owner, loves to hear feedback and to make it right if your not satisfied.

If you want a legit mouth watering Gyro with all the bells and whistles that reminds you of your trip to Greece, this is the place to go. Everything from the meat to the pita bread is so fresh and delicious it’ll make you crave more.

Identity Crisis. The Fat Greek is both a fast food place and a sit down restaurant. This place would get even better reviews if it weren’t for people expecting one thing and getting something else. The faster stuff is good, but it’s more costly than a chain restaurant. The sit down food is GREAT, this is essentially home made Greek cooking. The problem here is that the ambiance isn’t suitable for pricy slow food – the pair of televisions blaring competing channels is distracting. It just isn’t where you would go for a business lunch or a first date. This is where you would go for very casual but very tasty eats.

Great gyro plate & hummus. A little pricey & lacking atmosphere. Get it to go & have it with wine or beer at home.

Yes, overpriced. Ate here for the 2nd time. Food is really good, and generous portions, but $12 for a Falafel plate is high, and $8 for a SIDE, yes a SIDE of Taboule is OUTRAGEOUS. Even if you serve a dinner-sized plate, taboule, hummus, etc. with pita should be maybe $4-5, and they should have a $2-3 true ‘side’ size (no pita), to go with sandwiches or entrees. Also very strange to serve Falafel with points of pita rather than pita halves so you can make a sandwich if you like. Best deal today was the combo: Gyro, Fries and a drink for $8. Didn’t want a Corned Beef combo, but it was $7.

Overpriced. Having passed by this supposedly authentic greek place on yucaipa blvd many times before, I decided to try it. Ordered a gyro and fries, my total came out to $10.35. Way overpriced for a fast- food style restaurant. Gyro was pretty big and decent tasting but the seasoned fries weren’t any good. At least they could have given me a drink with my meal for that price.

The Fat Greek has great tasting food. The price is about right for the size of Gyro. It’s pretty big and all the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor.
