Don’t Drive by – Stop in!. Many times in the past year going and coming from hikes at Joshua Tree National Monument, I’ve pondered whether to stop in to Willie Boys Saloon for lunch. I’m an Artsy/City Type so I shyed-away and usually stop in at Pappy and Harriet’s or the Crossroads Caf. Both excellent choices but this time We FINALLY did it! Late lunch last Saturday! I had the best pulled pork sandwich on Texas Toast with the best (fried just right) Yam Fries! The waitress was wonderful and the vibe of this place felt like Urban Cowboy (Mechanical Bull in middle of dance floor), meets Wild West Bordello meets Fishing & Hunting Magazine to modern day Sports Bar. I can’t wait to try this place at night in the near future. Cheers!
