About
Anthony's Fish Grotto's was established in 1946 by Mama Catherine Ghio. It set and continues to set the standard for fresh seafood dining in San Diego. Mama believed in letting the freshness show through and not using overwrought and fussy preparations. Fresh seafood simply prepared. The waterfront Anthony's sits atop piling over San Diego Bay. The views and sunsets are spectacular. The large dining room can accommodate families and large groups and the Lounge/bar area is perfect for that more intimate dining experience. The menu features an array of seasonal fresh catches along with a multitude of favorites from Fish n Chips to Lobster Tails. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are available.Details

During my recent visit to this establishment, I decided to eat my favorite plates which were Soup (White Chouder) and Ceasar Salad or the Filete of Sole since I had a heavy breakfast. The prices were very cheap.

What a shame this place has been forced to close. It has been around for 70 years and we went on the penultimate night and had a delicious fish meal .
