Fabulous fun, staff, food, and dining perch.. We’re in La Jolla not nearly enough, but Josefa’s turns out to be another reason to come. The elevated porch gives a delightful view of Prospect Avenue foot traffic. The staff was terrific, even happily making allowance for the cilantro-averse members of our party. The menu seemed a good balance between variety and doing what’s feasible to do well. We ordered mostly standard fare (chix fajitas, burritos, and a seared ahi dish), and everything was fresh and delicious. Although almost always dubious about music at restaurants (often finding it too loud and fitted to special tastes), the music at Josefa’s was a delight–suitably quiet, upbeat, and completely befitting the restaurant. Can’t say enough how all of us enjoyed the evening.
