The fried catfish is delicious! Big piece, too. Fried chicken was also perfectly crispy and juicy. Mashed potatoes and gravy had a ton of flavor! The peach cobbler stole the show…. After our meal, we went back in to get 2 peach cobblers to go. Yummm.
I like it but NOT for the chicken!I’ve been there twice now and I have to say that the best menu items are the catfish and the side dishes especially the collard greens. The first time I had the gizzards which had too much batter and was dripping in grease. The 2nd time I had the catfish which was made fresh and was very flavorful. The chicken I had was actually cold and seemed to have a different batter that the first time I was there. The cornbread tasted store bought but the greens were awesome. Personally I don’t like a fried chicken place that doesn’t make it fresh on the spot for you and it seems like this place is still experimenting with recipes. 2.75 out of 5 stars
