Id love to give this place a higher rating and maybe if I visited again, I would. Or maybe if I had ordered something else, I would as well. But not this time. The place is clean, well decorated and offered good prompt service. I had the pot of gold appetizer which gave you eight crispy cups with essentially Shepards pie filling minus the mashed potatoes but there were potatoes in there. They were good. Then I got my go to-pad Thai. The odor when it came to me was overwhelming which I assume was from the random tofu pieces in it which I was puzzled about since it was supposed to have pork (it has pork as well). The flavor was okay. And my conclusion is either I have never had truly authentic pad Thai and dont know what to expect OR I, a middle aged white woman from Missouri, may make better pad Thai than a Thai place. Either way, I suggest giving this place a chance maybe your expectations arent as high as mine. (I didnt finish the dinner but I did eat a lot of it. The smell eventually went away.)

Honestly, It’s over my expectation base on Yelp reviews. We came to downtown for the game at Petco Park and got the parking spot on the fifth ave. So, we decided to try this place out. The food was amazing. I felt like I was in Thailand. Larb chicken and spicy beef salad are the best. My friend likes the yellow curry. The lunch special is the great deal. The homemade coconut ice cream was amazing. I will return.

Amazing place for thai food right in downtown san diego at the heart of happening Gaslamp Quarter. I visited the restaurant couple of times for lunch and it was quite hassle free to get a table. The good thing I liked was that they offer nice lunch combos which consists of an appetiser (like spring rolls) , salad, a bowl of rice and curry of your choice or mixed noodles in lieu of rice/curry . I went for the duck curry yellow curry combo one day and had the noodles on other day. I found the food tasty, ingredients fresh and the service prompt. Very reasonably priced for the location, this is must if you want a quick thai lunch.
