Probably one of the better legit Thai places we’ve tried in San Diego. So far we’ve been disappointed by all the Asian food here. We’ll definitely be back to try more dishes.Food: We normally order lad na and pad kee mao / drunken noodle every time to gauge a new Thai place. The food was cooked well. I was most impressed how they cooked the shrimp bc most places overcook it. They didn’t ask me for my spiciness preference, so my pad kee mao (which is usually a spicy dish) came out non-spicy. If they don’t ask, make sure you let them know your preference. Ambiance: It’s a hole in the wall place and something you wouldn’t notice just driving by. Small and bathrooms were not the cleanest, but they have an A rating, so you know their food is clean. We went during a heat wave, and there is no AC here (a lot of San Diego establishments don’t have AC).Service: The owner / family were nice and friendly. They do have slow, Asian service, but you can’t be mad about it unless they’re downright mean to you. It’s just the way real Asian places are.Value: They didn’t have lunch prices and everything costed a couple dollars more per dish than we were used to. localadventurer.com
