My husband and I just had lunch at the love boat and the sushi was fabulous! I recommend the Sunshine roll. Great service and trendy atmosphere.
It’s okay. My friend raved over it, so we went and I thought it was okay. Nothing over the top. Nice restaurant. Food was fresh and well prepared. Standard selection of rolls. Customer service wasn’t overly friendly. Small place and gets loud quickly.
Not great. The edamane was nice, the atmosphere interesting when the chefs put on wigs to sing happy birthday, but the sushi was well, slimy and bland I’d wonder if it was made with frozen fish. The teryaki was so so and on the bland side and I’ve had better California rolls from supermarkets. I don’t consider myself a sushi snob, but this place left much to be desired.
Quality, Quantity, Creativity, Fun. This sushi was some of the best I’ve had. It was very fresh. On a Friday night, we got seated immediately at the Sushi bar. The Sushi chef was hilarious and very personable. He kept pulling pranks on people, which was pretty fun. He also gave away some free stuff every once in awhile. The sushi choices were very creative, which is one thing I look for in a good sushi place. The size of the pieces was much bigger than other sushi places I go to. I had 2 sushi rolls, and I was stuffed. Go for the heart attack roll. It is one of the most out-of-this-world dishes I’ve ever had, and it comes set on fire!
Not a Rave. So I tried a new place ’cause everybody always says it’s good. Well, they’re WRONG!I went in with my daughter and the ambiance is nice. They brought out some edamame, nice touch, we ordered only two rolls cause we were headed to a movie. The place was near empty, but the rolls almost 30 mins to make it to the table. They were ok, nothing to rave about here. So we were trying to leave and I couldn’t get any servers attention, not just ours, no one, I even began to wave money around, this usually gets some attention, nothing. So I left the money on the table, I left too much, like 25% over the bill ’cause I couldn’t get anybody.Needless to say, I won’t be back, I’ll keep going to my same old places that I’ve written about in the past, yeah they know me, yeah they take care of me, but I see how they treat other customers, and it’s not how I was treated here. And the Sushi is only so-so. I had Green Tea which was served in a coffee cup, really says it all for this place.
Great sushi and Japanese food, fun atmosphere, reasonable prices.
The sashimi combination platter was excellent!
