Great atmosphere, insane tap beer selection (craft, local, imports, you name it). BEST Taco Tuesday in town. Crazy good food. Mac & Cheese is great, yes, but even the simple grilled ham/cheese + tomato bisque makes you want to call your mom. Great place to bring friends from out of town.
The Customer is Always Wrong!. The customer is always Wrong! When the manager was approached, he pointed out the opposite of the issue and twisted it and then put it back in my face. I tried to explain my point, he continued to ignore the point and counter the point with something that was not even remotely what I pointed out, but in fact turned it on me to make it my issue and as if he was pointing out something that was in my favor. I walked away, he followed me to my table, my family was embarrassed, left, and I was totally embarrassed. I took good care of the waiter, he was awesome, too bad this manager who was running the place that night has no clue, he only hurts the owners! He was so set on making himself correct over 2 dollars, that he lost a customer for life. He also lost referrals, and believe me when I say,,,,,He subscribes to the philosophy,,,THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS WRONG!,,, HE GOT HIS 2 DOLLARS, WHICH IS WHY THIS WAS SO REDICULOUS,, But he made a fool of himself to someone who has been in this community for over 19 YEARS,,,OOPPS, TELL THE OWNER, WORD OF MOUTH DEPENDING, DOES COUNT! We used to frequent the place, with our family, friends, and of course business lunches and happy hours. I won’t venture what we have spent over the past 2 years plus,, but not a good return to win an issue when he actually was wrong and he absolutely refused to acknowledge my point, in fact each time, turned it on me. I asked him to at least acknowledge it, but he could not bring himself to do so,, again over 2 bucks! In his mind, believe me he won the battle, but the reality is this he lost a good customer and lost referrals. There are too many restaurants in Restaurant Row San Marcos to bother with this one after this! As for Beer, go to Slaters 50/50, they have more choices, and the managers are real, and they respect your business. The waiter was in agreement with me on the issues when I spoke with him after I left the place. He is a much better choice to mange the place.Be very careful with the billing practices, they are not consistent and when it comes to math and the numbers, its a bummer for the owners reputation that the manager refused to hear the reality of the issue.Dr. K,, San Marcos,, CAPS,,, for the price of a large bowl of soup, you would think they could serve some bread! I am still amazed that he was so right over 2 bucks, but so wrong,, m

Horrible. Don’t eat there…fish over cooked ,,lamb shank dry,,
Burger was overcooked and greasy. Service was lackluster. Pizza was good, as was salad and beer. Mac and cheese croquets were boring. I will probably go back one more time to give it another chance. Not particularly impressed first time out.
