Nothing to write home about. The service was the worst I’ve had in 40 years. The waitress looked so angry. I felt very uncomfortable. The atmosphere was nice.

Disregards customer service. Grew up eating Petrillos but never again…..Ordered over the phone and was told a 2 hour wait, arrived on time and after waiting at the pick-up desk for the staff to take pictures of each other and put other customers on hold received two cold pizzas. When I voiced my dissatisfaction the staff looked at me blankly asking if I wanted the pizzas or not. I asked to speak to the manager and when he finally came to address the issue he started talking without even asking what my issue was saying he was sorry but it was busy today (obviously not so busy that his staff could laugh and take pictures while we and others waited for service) when I explained that the pizza was cold he asked me what I wanted him to do about it, absolutely ridiculous….. He asked if I wanted it or not ….. I told him I didn’t wait the 2 hours his staff advised for the food to be cold, he offered to redo the pizzas finally but when his staff told him it was two pizzas he said instead to give a 5.00 discount (off of a 60.00 check ??? again ridiculous) when I said I wouldn’t pay 55.00 for cold pizza he said he he had the right to refuse service and took the pizzas to the back and told the staff to pull our photo and telephone numbers and not serve us again…… Not to worry Archie we wouldn’t be back if you paid us to eat your cold pizza….. We ended up getting hot pizza, great service and half the price at Baby Bros pizza in El Monte …… Disgusting to see a business become so arrogant that they think they can afford to treat customers that way …. From reading others reviews looks like I’m not the only one not going back Thank for the horrible service Archie!

My favorite pizza. I drive from Monrovia to pick up. The other location is in Glendora, and unfortunately Monrovia is smack dab in the middle between San Gabriel and Glendora.

Angel hair pasta. Had the Angel Hair Pasta in Alfredo sauce, and still as good as it was 30 years ago since I had it here.

Solid Quality despite lack of service – from someone who worked there. I used to work at Petrillos in San Gabriel when I was in high school back in the 80’s and still have their food even to this day. I must say that I really enjoy their pizzas. Lirst off, they don’t skimp on the toppings. You get lots of them and most are fresh. Love the sausage. It tastes fragrant and has good meat consistency, not the mushy stuff you get from Pizza Hut or other pizza chains (except Top Class Pizza in Brea but they are sparingly topped). Love the homemade blue cheese dressing (that’s how I was introduced to blue cheese). Also, love the lasagna. Recently ordered some for my husband who never had their pasta before and he exclaimed that it was the best tasting lasagna he’s had. They grate their own cheese and make their own breads each day. With all this being said, I do have to agree that the waiting staff and take out staff are not what you will find in 5* restaurants (are a bit rough on the edges), but not all of them. The kitchen staff work very hard. Also, there are not so great customers who have done unethical actions to the restaurants as well, which may explain whey the owners may not be so nice at times.
