  Screw Up. I thought R2 were serious about their restaurant business, so I bought a Groupon as soon as I saw it. But R2 Kazoku was a big disappointment despite its nice and trendy decor.We ordered a few Yakitori skewers to share and I knew they were not right with my first glance. The small squids (pinky size) were not fresh, chicken cartilage and beef tongue were super small size; luckily chicken wings had normal size. All yakitori skewers had bad quality and tasted the same; in fact theyre tasteless and bland.My Chirashi Bowl ($18) was the most ridiculous chirashi I had ever had. One layer of thin slices of sashimi covered the rice with help from slices of avocado and cucumber. I couldnt really tell the quality because they were too thin (about 1/3 from normal). Rice tasted regular rice more than vinegar sushi rice. My moms Eel Rice Bowl ($13) was not any better, all I heard her complaint about she never had such thin slices of eel.Our bill was $50 and turned to $10 with a $40 Groupon. We left $7 tip for the attentive service from their courteous wait staffs. I only found four other adults and two kids when we were there on a Sunday night. R2 claimed theyd make changes, I hope it wont be too late.
