Another Catfish Letdown. A small grilled catfish priced at $35; it came with a bed of lettuce, rice paper wraps, rice noodles, bean sprouts, shredded carrots and cucumbers, and two kinds of sauce. It’s worth the price if it tasted good. Unfortunately, the grilled catfish we got in Vietnam House was a disappointment.Catfish was dry and tasteless, how come? I could only guess it was not fresh. Needless to say, all other ingredients could not save this dish. It was quite painful to finish it.

Great Egg Rolls. I like the food here. Very similar to Golden Deli across the street but larger and not as noisy. I recommend most of their veggie dishes.

Very Nice Little Restaurant.. Their Egg Rolls are out of this world! I always have a full order which is practically a meal in itself. Fried to a crunchy, crispy delight.Vietnam House is very heavy on green vegetables. A virtual mountain of greens accompanies every plate. I always grab a take out box and give the salad to a street person I might find on my way home. It appears the cuisine is authentic because a lot of Vietnamese eat there. The waiters could tell I was perplexed by several things I ordered. I had no idea a Vietnamese steak was round like meat balls. It was served with clear see thru tortilla like paddies that they showed me how to soak in hot water before eating. I thought the water was a finger bowl. I have rarely been so confused by an order, but the egg rolls are outstanding and keep drawing me back for me.Simple but tasteful dining room. Good service. Reasonable prices.
