Best French restaurant in Bay Area. It doesn’t get any finer than Le Papillon. It is the best restaurant in the bay area. Wonderful ambiance, romantic, quiet, excellent wait service. Just don’t bring your kids please!! This is the best place and my choice for a romantic occasion. The food is amazing, the wine selection is awesome and the tables are just the right size to reach over to hold your partner’s hand or play some footsies under the table. It is the most memorable and pleasant dining experience that I have had
Stumbled into a good meal….. Went here on my honeymoon in 2003 (we only had time for a quick weekend and chose to stay at a W Hotel nearby that we had not been to yet.) and was pleasantly surprised. This was the first restaurant where I had an amuse bouche and boy did it set the tone for the evening. I was really impressed at all turns.
