Chicken Pho (dish review). Chicken Pho is my signature Vietnamese dish. almost every time I go for Vietnamese, it seems I order this. At Pho Wagon, this dish is made masterfully and traditionally. It is a bowl full of flavor, and, most of all, perfectly cooked chicken to munch on. I chooser to order extra meat here, but not because of issues with quantity, but because of just how good this food tastes. I love a great bowl of pho from Pho Wagon.21 Jan, 2012Vietnamese Spring Rolls (dish review). Deep fried vegetables and meat rarely taste as good as these Vietnamese Spring Rolls. They are a dish found in nearly every Vietnamese restaurant in the Bay Area, and many do it well, but not this well. These are the kind that leave you wanting seconds, and they’re an appetizer! Pho Wagon deserves a chance. They’ll deserve a second, and a third, and a fourth to even the pickiest eaters with one bite of these spring rolls.21 Jan, 2012Pho Wagon (Vietnamese). With Pho Wagon coming to Willow Glen, it becomes the first of it’s kind in the immediate area. Hundreds of Vietnamese-loving patrons surely will flock to this restaurant, turning it into another over-hyped Willow Glen stop. Thankfully, I can say that the Willow Glen Syndrome has a chance of being altogether avoided by Pho Wagon. It is seemingly too good, too traditional to go South because of too much publicity. They churn out delicious Pho and great egg rolls at such high speeds, you have little time to breathe between ordering and eating. As I hinted, the food isn’t half bad, and, after contemplating the kind service and amazing overhaul (this location was once a Burger King, and you’d never know it now), I have to reach the conclusion that this place is in for the long haul, and, more importantly, for all the right reasons. Come grab a bowl.Rating: 6.5/10 tasteperiod.blogspot.com
