Favorite local sushi. I absolutely love the fancy rolls circulating on the boat. Was reminded of this after a disappointing and much more expensive foray at Sushi Maru in J-town. When I ask for special nigiri like uni or ikura, it is always fresh. Don’t understand the so-so reviews posted. These folks are run by real Japanese sushi chefs and the rice is perfectly vinegared and the fish is fresh. All without breaking the bank. Love it.
A good place for lunch and families. If you like sushi or Japanese food in general, I highly recommend this place. The price of sushi is pretty good, but sashimi is more expensive. I like the sashimi combination moriawase, it has a bunch of different fish such as tuna, yellowtail, white fish, albacore, salmon, mackerel and tako. I don’t like tako very much, so usually I ask the waitress to replace it for something else. Waitresses and sushi chefs are very kind. I like to see the rolls that are in the boat. Nowadays, they have several new specials rolls. My favorite is salmon skin with eel and avocado. I also really salmon, shrimp tempura and masago in rice paper. Among the spicy rolls, I like paradise, san jose, san diego and boston .
