Awesome Breakfast. I cant say enough about the breakfasts here. Of the 2 days we stayed here we ate here both days. The corned beef hash was some of the best Ive ever eaten. Fresh biscuits, scones, cornbread. The chicken fried steak was fantastic too. They make it with tri tip, an unusual twist for sure, but it works and was great. The sausage gravy is made from scratch. Its nice to find a place that takes pride in its food and doesn’t cut corners. We will definitely be back

Go there once. I agree with one of the previous reviewers, the Apple Farm is a lot like Marie Calendars but without the consistency. It is certainly someplace unique to take out-of-town visitors…once. Then the novelty has worn off and you can take them to a really good restaurant in SLO or Morro Bay (my favorite). You can order an equally ‘bulk food’ breakfast at IHOP, or if cost is no object, Madonna Inn.
Like an Overpriced Marie Calendar’s. After a long drive down the 101, I was excited by the Apple Farm sign. The name conjures up feelings of hearty, warm, country-style foods and, of course, apple pie. Unfortunately, I’m easy to please when it comes to apple pie, and that’s the only good thing I can say about this place. It was ridiculously overpriced, the wait staff seemed incompetent, and my water glass had bleach in it. You could go anywhere else and get the same food, better prepared, for less cost. Apple Farm: not worth the stop.
I highly recommend this retaurant. I ordered a Ruebin sandwich with well done French fries. The sandwich arrived piping hot. It was excellent. There was no fat in the meat. The French fries were cooked to perfection. The service was attentive, and the decor was quaint and attractive. Also, there is a great gift shop and bakery attached to the restaurant. Overall this was a great dining experienc.
Great breakfast. You have to try the breads with boysenberry jam. They also have a great bakery and gift shop. A must see if you are visiting San Luis Obispo.
