Great service, Daniel C was a gracious and friendly server! In fact, all the servers were friendly and outgoing! Great staff, great food, all in a fun saloon type atmosphere! Had the chili burger and the western bbq burger, both cooked perfectly with generous helping of sides. Not what I would call a steakhouse, as this restaurant is classified as, but definitely a great place to eat! Highly recommending this place and will certainly visit again! Oh, and I don’t know what the guy talking about corporate chains in a previous review is smoking, but this place has didn’t seem even remotely like any chain I have been too.

Mixed feelings. I went here late one night and the place didnt seem too bad. the bartender and door guy were pretty friendly, and the atmosphere was pretty mellow. i went there a few nights after that at about 9 oclock and there was a TON of really really old people eating at the bar and drinking coffee. kind of weirded me out. again, the staff was really nice, but why all the old people????? i went back during lunch to have a few drinks out back by the creek. i ordered a bloody mary and onion rings. the onion rings were great, and the ranch they had was really tasty. only think is i got soooooo thirsty. our server never came back to our table. i was dying of thirst i needed a new bloody mary, cause it came in a 10 ounce glass??? and i also wanted a water. my boyfriend finished his beer pretty quick. but we ate through all of our onion rings super thirsty and waited, and waited, and waited. the servers were helping the table next to us the entire time, and never responded to our, excuse me’s, finally when the table left and the server was cleaning, we asked for the tab, and she asked if we would like more drinks. NO WE WANT OUR TAB BECAUSE WE ARE THIRSTY AND GOING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Farmers Market BBQ. Stand in a line and watch the show… pony up $8 for a huge plate of McLintocks tri-tip, pork munchies and chicken. I have yet to eat at this location’s restaurant… the Shell Beach location being my favorite, period.

Very Good. My wife and I had dinner here the day we spent in SLO on vacation. The food was very good and the staff was good also. They had an artichoke appetizer that my wife absolutely LOVED. There steaks were very good and I would return here without question when I return to SLO.

Too many TVs / Too loud!. Not fond of the sports bar atmosphere (personal bias — why do people have to be constantly glued to TVs like pacifiers?), but we found a nice spot in the hallway by the kitchen to get away from the blaring TVs (& there we could actually hear the country music that was also playing — although not sure why music & TV were playing at the same time? Weird.) Food & service are OK. Certainly can’t complain about the huge portions. I generally prefer organic food & I’m not sure about the genesis of F. McLintock’s food …

F.McGood. Portions are fantastic for big eaters and the prices are right. Light eaters might want to share an entree. Your picture is posted on the wall if you eat their giant burger. Good place to have drinks, too.
