AMBIENCE 2.5 Pretty lousy dim cluttered tacky placeSERVICE 2.5Really bad – dont seem to be bothered about their customers STARTERS 3.5Channa Samosa Chaat – pretty decent. The chola was soft and the chutney was nice and spicy. The Samosa was a bit soggy, but still pretty decent. BEVERAGES 3.0Rooh afzah lemonade – very average – more like regular lemonade with some hint of rooh afzahMAINS 3.5Butter chicken – very poor – nothing like butter chicken Garlic naan – okayish – a bit too crisp. Chicken Biryani – really nice. We asked for spicy and it was – as good as back in India.

Love Shalimar!. I am a huge curry lover, and as far as SLO goes…this is the place! I have never felt disappointed by anything I have tried at this restaurant! Lots of options for the vegetarian and vegans alike! I love the Saag, myself, whereas my partner has been through all of the curries and Tikka Masala!We always start off with the Samosas or Veggie Pekoras…Garlic Naan and some Gulab Jamen for dessert to top it all off! Love, love, love Shalimar!
I wish slo had good Indian food but we don’t. The service is slo and the soup is watery. Not worth the effort. They could do better, a lot better, it would be a goldmine with better food.
Great buffet. Lots to choose from, veggie and non veggie, and those awesome gulab jamun dessert balls. Had nice chats with several of the family/staff and really enjoyed our meals.
