Dinner @ Tahoe joe’s. We have never eaten at a Tahoe Joe’s and will return any time one is near while we are traveling. We had excellent service and wonderful food. You might want to share because the portions are large.
Typical chain. Similar along the lines of Chili’s, or TGIFridays….chain like. The food wasn’t bad. But like most chains, over salt/fat/sugar. I had the citrus chicken salad. Nothing special. The sirloin steak was decent. Everything seemed pre-packaged. Safe choice.
Tahoe joes is somewhat of a disappointment. It has an alright atmosphere, if it is your first time you’ll be greeted by your waiter and told a very long winded speech about menu, although this is a very nice gesture by them it ends up being annoying to the customers. But enough about the atmosphere let’s get to the food when my wife and I went there on our honeymoon, we were staying at the madonna inn nearby, we mostly went there because we arrived late and it was the only restaurant is open that late besides taco bell and McDonald’s. My wife and I ordered a sirloin steak with a spinach artichoke dip appetizer, we’re not very hungry. The spinach artichoke dip was watery and not very flavorful. the steak itself was alright although not much better than what you would get at your local supermarket. We elected to get mashed potatoes and green beans with it. The mashed potatoes were not very flavorful, it took quite a bit of salt to make them appetizing. The green beans were quite watery and had really no flavor at all. To make matters worse, it appeared we were supposed to have dinner rolls before the meal, however they did not arrive until after the main dish.All in all we were quite disappointed because although the food was not horrible, it was pretty bad and it cost much more than it was worth.We will not be going again.
